This project explores how family relationships and personal identity change over time. Using clothing as symbols, it shows how the artist goes from idolizing their parents to realizing their imperfections. Through two phases of the artists’ memory—one where the artist borrows outfits from their parents’ fancy closet and another where the parent seeks the artist’s help to keep up with the trend and connect to the fast-changing world—the project reflects on the reversed position and perceptions within the family, capturing the mix of admiration, empathy, and acceptance as both parties grow and influence each other. The artist tells the unspoken and subtle story between she and her parents, expressing the mixed feelings towards their relationship.
